Also, we understand that many families are busy juggling school and work schedules. To help you, we have extended hours (7am-7pm) so you can make appointments before and after work, and around your child's school and extracurricular activities. We offer family block appointments, as well, and we do our best to complete your care in as few visits as possible. Come experience the difference with us!
Meet Dr. Alan McDavid
Dr. Alan McDavid was born and raised in Jefferson City, Missouri. He is the proud son of hearing-impaired parents who raised him to appreciate his God-given talents and abilities. In high school, he excelled in sports, becoming an award-winning football player. Later at the University of Missouri-Columbia, Dr. McDavid earned his Bachelor of Biological Sciences. During his four years of undergraduate study, Dr. McDavid took an active leadership role within the campus community, serving as vice president of both the Pre-Dental Club and his international fraternity, Delta Chi. After graduating from the University of Missouri, Dr. McDavid attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry for his dental education. He continued to utilize his leadership abilities as a teaching assistant for his peers. Both his capacity for conceptualizing procedural ideas as well as his exceptional technical skills made him a valuable resource to his classmates.
Dr. McDavid and his wife, a Texas native, moved to Fort Worth in 2010, where she is attending Texas Christian University for her master's degree. After their move to Fort Worth, Dr. McDavid began working as an associate dentist for a large dental company. Within six months, Dr. McDavid received an award for his outstanding team leadership and rapport with patients. For Dr. McDavid, the needs of his patients come first. He sees patient education as a vital component of his clinical philosophy, and he continues to promote optimal dental healthcare for all his patients.
Having found his permanent home in our practice, Dr. McDavid has quickly established a loyal following of patients and their families. He believes that seeing the dentist should be comfortable and enjoyable, so he effectively uses the latest technologies and techniques to make comfort a reality for people of all ages. Dr. McDavid is a great dentist, extremely well-liked by patients and our staff, and we are happy to have him as a leader in our practice family!
Meet Dr. Jeromy Thornton
Dr. Jeromy Thornton grew up in Silsbee, TX, a small town just north of Beaumont. He completed his bachelor's degree at Lamar University before studying dentistry at the prestigious Baylor College of Dentistry. While at Baylor, Dr. Thornton received numerous recognitions, including an award for Excellence in Dental Laboratory. One of Dr. Thornton's most notable qualities is his desire to give back to the community. He participates in many community programs, including community cleanup, book donation projects for adult learning centers, community education about the importance of oral health, and more.
Dr. Thornton has carried the same dedication to excellence from dental school into his career. He has pursued advanced level training in numerous areas. Some of these are Advanced Endodontics (root canal therapy), Short-term Orthodontics (accelerated braces), Advanced Oral Surgery (tooth removal), and Advanced Practice Management (for organized, efficient, and effective office systems). As one of the owners of our DFW dental practices, Dr. Thornton brings all his knowledge and skills to our neighborhood offices, always working hard to help us maintain a high standard of clinical care and office organization.
Even though he performs many complex procedures such as wisdom teeth removal, Dr. Thornton is known for his gentle touch and compassionate nature. He is very friendly and well-liked by his patients and staff. He listens attentively to what patients ask of him, putting just as much emphasis on patient comfort as he does on quality clinical work.
In his personal life, Dr. Thornton and his wife, Stephanie, have a beautiful toddler boy and are excited to be growing their family. Dr. Thornton has several hobbies, including tennis, golf, and weight training. He is an avid athlete as well as a caring husband and father. Being family-focused is an important part of our practice philosophy and culture, which our staff and patients appreciate.
